Day 4 (Wednesday)

Wednesday was great. We were able to stay at the Driftwood Shores Resort, although it's not much of a resort. However it did have a pretty good hot tub. Since the resort is right on the beach, we decided to go out for a walk on the sand. Our 'newlyweds' sandals were great for comfort but didn't leave many "Just Married" tracks because of the hard wet sand around that area. The evening before, we stopped by a Fred Meyer and picked up a Canon Powershot camera for Traci. We figured we only get one honeymoon, so you might as well take pictures.

As soon as we left the resort, Traci and I had one destination in mind... Sand Dunes. It had been sprinkling the whole morning and we weren't sure if we wanted to be miserable in our adventures. Never the less, the rain let up and we seized the moment. Surprisingly, after spending an hour out on the dunes, the rain began to come down again as we left the park.

Our next stop for Wednesday was to visit the Sea Lion Caves. Unfortunately there weren't any sea lions in the cave, BUT! there were a lot of Asian tourists so we took a few pictures of that sight. The drive from Florence to Newport is definitely a pretty one. The road has curves every 10 feet and there are many bridges to take pictures of.
