Day 3 (Tuesday)

Third day of the honeymoon was great. We stayed in a yurt, which was amazing, and the waves of the Pacific Ocean were just a few hundred feet away. Our visit to REI the previous day was rewarding as I was able to acquire a sweet pair of sandals and the Jet Boil worked miracles in conserving gas for heating our food. I do wish we could have spent more time at Sunset Bay. As a matter of fact, I personally think that it was the prettiest beach we visited on our trip. It was so interesting to see how the cliffs formed natural breakwaters protecting the beach from the waves. The trails around there are also great.

On our way north toward Florence we came across an unusual attraction, so we pulled over to take a picture of this bear holding a fish. As we parked the jeep, we noticed that the RV park had an inflatable pillow for those seeking hours of memorable fun. Traci did not hesitate in paying the 5 dollars for this once in a life time activity, but it sure was a workout after a while. We jumped until our legs could jump no more. It was on Tuesday as well that Traci left Douglas County, the land of her birth, so we had to stop and take a picture by the sign.

Before we made it to our lodging, we had to make sure to drive the Jeep on the sand dunes as the Jeep had requested to travel in it's natural habitat. I had just acquired new all-terrain tires so the Jeep didn't handle as well as it would have with the wider mud tires, however, we didn't get stuck once.

HoneyMoon Day 2 (Monday)

Many things have happened since the last time I had the chance to update my blog, for instance, I got married. Surprised?.. I sure am. Everything happened too fast and by the time I had an opportunity to sit down, I was a married man. Anyhow since I only have a few pictures of the wedding, I'll post picture of that fiasco later. Meanwhile, I'll place picture of the honeymoon at the Oregon Coast instead.

The agenda for Monday included to visit REI and buy a Jet Boil pot for cooking food. Eat Umpqua Ice Cream for Breakfast, visit the Wildlife Safari and Milo Elementary School to see Traci's stomping ground.

We started by staying at the Comfort Inn at Cottage Grove for the second night and since they have a hot tub, Traci and I decided to take a short dip. The first picture shows some classy flip flops that Traci's Aunt gave us for the wedding. The next picture shows Traci (ever so happy) with her ice cream for breakfast. The following pictures are from the Wildlife Safari just south of Roseburg, where we were able to drive the jeep through the animal park, pretty exciting. The last picture is of the jeep on it's way out of the Milo Campus. Pretty neat to see a Covered Bridge, they are rare.
