Wallowa Lake once again

Traci and I have been itching to make a trip to Wallowa Lake the whole summer. Since Janelle was visiting us this past weekend, we decided this would be a perfect time for a trip. We headed down on Saturday morning and made a quick stop along the river where Jimmy showed us the great ways of Fly Fishing. Somehow the fish didn't want to grab on to the bait when it was my turn but instead they were swimming around my feet... interesting. Anyhow, once we got to the park, we made a trip up the Tramway to visit the many friendly chipmunks that were preparing for the winter to come. I so happen to have a stuffed animal chipmunk and thought it would be interesting to take a picture of it alongside with real chipmunks; he was quite bigger than the actual size.

Surprisingly, Traci found a spot open for a yurt on Saturday night so we had the luxury to spend the night with a heater, electricity and shelter from the cold night. Once again we were able to see the bright red Salmon headed up stream... it was quite awesome.

We're old news now

This past weekend Traci and I made a trip to the Oregon Coast once again, however this time went to celebrate our one year anniversary. Our trip plans included a visit to the Saint Cupcakes in Portland, the Tillamook Cheese Factory and visit an old shipwreck. Although we missed the car show here in Walla Walla, we were lucky to stumble across another car show in Seaside, Oregon. There were several classic cars, several hot rods and even a Chrysler Town and Country Woody... very nice.

Since there is no point to wear our "Just married" sandals after a year... (we're old news now), we decided to wear them just one more time.

The year was 2008. People were gathered from all across the country for the biggest event of the year... our wedding. Some said we wouldn't last a week, others gossiped we wouldn't last 7 days. Boy, were they wrong. Here it is one year later and it feels like just minutes ago, I said "I do."

The truth is that our wedding wouldn't have been the same if our family and friends hadn't been there. So to everyone that made an effort and those who weren't able to make it, we want to thank you. Thanks for making that day extra meaningful for us.

Thanks Ben and Brandon for your excellent photography
