Spring Break 2008

This past weekend, Traci and I made a short trip to Fresno where my grandma lives and we also did a little bit of site seeing. On our way down we made a quick visit to Lake Tahoe before we descended to the great San Joaquin Valley. Since Yosemite is not far from Fresno, we decided to make a quick trip with my grandma and walk in the steps of Ansel Adams. We also had a chance to visit Santa Cruz where the weather was superb beyond compare and see the rolling hills of the San Andreas fault line. Here are a few pictures of our excursion.

This was the view we had on Friday morning of the Crooked Creek Range.

There's something about old neon signs that capture my attention. The style, the art, the enigma that leaves me thinking. The "Color TV" is almost a relic showing the transition of technology as it moved to color films. This Motel has been abandon since my days when I lived in Fresno. I wish I had that sign.

Traci got your goodbye message. It was awesome.

The hills outside of Santa Cruz should be named "Loma Linda" and not the brown dry hills down south.

Jimmy, I took this picture of a rugged Tundra for you.

Umpqua Ice Cream! The real ice scoops are not all that much smaller. It was the best breakfast ever.

  1. Those are some sweet photos! The green hills are my favorite (my minimalism is biased). Looks like you guys had a blast!
