So most of you probably know that I'm engaged and to my surprise, there is a lot to plan on especially if the wedding is going to be out of town. Currently, Traci and I have been working on having the wedding at Wallowa Lake because of its great scenery and it's only about 90 miles east from here. A couple of weeks ago, Traci and I had the opportunity to make a quick trip to Wallowa and check out a few options to where we could have the wedding, reception and lodging for us and the guest. This was the first time that I had ever seen the whole lake covered with ice. Yes, I did walk on it. We saw many deers as it is the tradition especially in the winter and the water fountain at the park entrance was bigger than ever with all the ice that had accumulated over the winter. Traci's civic also went through a big moment of its car life as it hit 100,000 miles on the way back home.Traci has been working on a wedding site where you can find more information on the big day. Check it out. http://www.mywedding.com/traciandjosue
Hello Josue: Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I ran across your blog because I keep track of the term "Wallowa Lake." Just wanted to let you know that our bed & breakfast in Joseph (6 miles from the Eagle Cap Chalets) has Friday night only rooms available, plus our newest honeymoon/anniversary suite will be open both Fri & Sat nights. I mention this because your wedding is also falling during the time when Cycle Oregon will descend on Wallowa Lake with a few thousand people. Best of luck! Heather at the Bronze Antler B&B in Joseph.
