The plans for Christmas was to spend it with Traci's family. We got on the road right after she got off from work on the 23rd and arrived at 4:00 in the morning. During our stay there we did a good amount of tire-kicking, visit several antique stores and spent some good quality time her parents. I must admit that despite the freezing cold weather, Bozeman is quite a neat town and it was very nice to have spent a White Christmas.
The second part of our trip was to travel down to Fresno, CA and spend New Year's Eve with my side of the family. So on Dec, 30 we drove to Spokane, WA and caught a flight to head south. It turns out that a good amount of my family showed up to spend it with my grandma and we had a total of 20 people at her place. Traci described my family as a "Parakeet family" due to the fact that we had so many different conversation all at once, pretty good way to describe us.
My mom had driven down there so we decided to catch a ride with her. We left at 3:00 am from Fresno and went straight north to Yosemite National Park. We arrived at the park an hour later where I was able to take a few long exposures before the sun came up. I only took a few pictures since we still had a long drive ahead of us but it sure was worth it. We really only made two stops, one in Yosemite and the other in Salem, OR. So lets see, we left Fresno at 3 am and arrived at Walla Walla a little bit past midnight, yep that's one very long day.
